Wudu is the ritual purification performed before Salah, and getting the steps right in order helps your prayer start with confidence.
The Basic Steps
Begin with the intention (niyyah), then wash the hands, rinse the mouth and nose, wash the face, wash the arms up to the elbows, wipe the head and ears, and finally wash the feet up to the ankles.
Doing Each Step in Order
Performing the steps in sequence, without long pauses between them, is part of completing wudu properly. Each part is washed three times where possible, though once is sufficient.
Wudu-Friendly Clothing Helps
Sleeves that push up easily make the arm-washing step faster and mess-free — our With Cuffs prayer jilbabs are designed with this in mind.
Once wudu is complete, you’re ready to begin Salah with a clear mind and a clean state.
